Oil flax straw processing and utilization

Flax (Linum usitatissimum) is widely used as a source of linen oil and fiber. As rule, the flax varieties are suitable for either seeds or stem fibers production. The “fiber” bring low seed, while “oil” ones have poor fibers. straw not textile industry has to be burned degraded naturally in field. However, it contains DP cellulose, which can at least varnish main challenge industrial application cellulose separating shive enriched lignin. On other hand, relatively cost final products restricts set tools allowing such separation. Here, we describe machine designed scutching having an efficiency 500 kg/h power 6.5 kW producing fiber with residual content 15 % (tow yield $\sim 25$ %). We also suppose several ways further convert obtained tow into microcrystalline fluff-like (WRV 9$ ). suggested process runs below water boiling point atmospheric pressure could held plastic reactors.
